CHICAGO DAILY TRIBIUNE, April 8, 1931

* William Hale "Big Bill" Thompson defeated
* Anton Cermak becomes Chicago mayor
* Gangland - gangsters - prohibition era
* Best title to be had - very rare as such

The top of the front page has a very nice banner headline: "CERMAK ELECTED BY 191,916" with subheads. (see) Nice for display. Photo of Cermak on page 3 with more related images on the back page. First report coverage on Anton Cermak defeating William Hale Thompson as Mayor of Chicago. Thompson is considered one of the most unethical mayors in American history. Coincidentally, Al "Scarface' Capone was put away for income tax evasion later that same year.
Complete with all 40 pages, This is the "rag edition" printed on very high quality newsprint meant for institutional holdings. In great condition as such, a few small binding holes at the spine.
