Page 6 has over 1 1/2 columns taken up with: "Comments On The Trial of Daniel E. Sickles" concerning his the controversial trial for the murder of Philip Barton Key, and was historic for being the first use of the temporarily insanity plea. One of the comments begins: "Whatever may be alleged to the contrary, no impartial man can go back to the beginning of this tragedy without being convinced that every effort of ingenuity, perversion, and misrepresentation was employed to prejudge its merits & prepossess the public in favor of the prisoner..." (see). Much other discussion as well.
Eight pages, some chipping at the edges & some margin tears, generally nice.
