We are assured... a lump of pure gold weighing thirty-two pounds, was discovered in a vein or seam of a rock in the Dutch island of Aruba..."
The front page has two articles "From the Isthmus of Panama" and "For California", both which are reporting on different ships and the number of passengers being carried and some of the associated cost. Also in the California report is of the cost and length of a land trip too.
