SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN, New York, September 7, 1878  This paper contains prints and article concerning: BARTHOLDI'S COLOSSAL STATUE OF LIBERTY. The head was on display along with the hand and torch until the entire statue was completed. The final size would be 105 feet high plus an 82 feet pedestal. The bust itself was 29.5 feet high and 13+ feet in diameter. A wonderful piece of Americana.
