Page 2 has close to half a column under the heading: "Late From California" noting: "...bringing about 120 passengers, $477,204 value of gold dust on freight besides a large amount in the hands of the passengers...as soon as the rainy season shall have commenced it will be an easy matter to obtain crews for the deserted vessels lying in the bay of San Francisco as hundreds of miners, both successful & unsuccessful, will be glad...to work their passage home...Very little sickness prevails among the more temperate portion of the gold hunters..." and more (see).
