Although the front page is replete with Civil War reports, the most historically significant item in this issue is found on page 4, headed: "The New State Of Nevada" with the complete text being: "By the President of the United States, A PROCLAMATION" bringing Nevada into the Union, signed in type by him: Abraham Lincoln.
Among the front page Civil War reports are heads: "Our Armies Before Richmond", "Final Repulse of the Enemy", "Army of the James" "From Gen. Sherman's Army", "Hood's Great Raid a Failure", "His Unsuccessful Attack upon Resaca", "Details of the Surrender at Dalton" and more.
Complete in 8 pages, nice condition.
