NEW YORK TIMES, Aug. 6, 1974  The three-line banner headline reports perhaps the most significant event in the entire Watergate political scandal: "NIXON ADMITS HALTING INVESTIGATION OF WATERGATE 6 DAYS AFTER BREAK-IN; EXPECTS IMPEACHMENT; SUPPORT EBBS" with various related subheads, one of which reads: "Nixon Ordered That the F.B.I. Be Told: 'Don't Go Any Further Into This Case' ". Just 3 days later he would resign from the Presidency.
The complete first section (pgs. 1-30) of a 58 page issue. Very nice condition.
