THE ST. JAMES'S CHRONICLE or BRITISH EVENING POST, London, April 5, 1764.
* Early UFO sighting ?
* Rare 18th century title
A folio size newspaper of 4 page with a nice engraving in the masthead (see photo). Various news of the day on all 4 pages plus various advertisements as well.
The front page has an interesting article from Philadelphia that begins with: "The following is an Account of a surprising Phenomenon which happened at Philadelphia..." Was this an early UFO sighting ? See photo for complete text here.
Also, page 3 has a report on another phenomenon in which the planet Venus could be seen by the naked eye. See image for coverage here as well.
Spine is joined with archival tape, a little staining to upper right portion, otherwise very nice condition.
