* John F. Kennedy's 1st ever election win
* U.S. House of Representatives

A brief, inconspicuous report on page 3 marks the beginning of the Kennedy political dynasty which would last for 63 years. When Patrick Kennedy left his congressional post in December, 2010 it marked the first time in 63 years there wasn't a Kennedy serving in elected office in Washington.
The dynasty began in Nov., 1946 when John F. Kennedy won a Congressional seat, the text noting: "...In the eleventh District, young John F. Kennedy Democratic candidate, trounced Republican Lester W. Bowen by a better than two to one margin. Kennedy replaces U.S. Rep. James M. Curley, (D., Mass.) who dropped out after being elected mayor of Boston last year for the fourth time in his political career...." He would go on to win this seat two more times before being elected to the Senate in 1952.
A very significant political issue and a report likely only to be found in a Boston vicinity newspaper. Complete in 12 pages, very nice condition.
