NEW YORK SEMI-WEEKLY TRIBUNE, New York, September 2, 1848 On page 2, there is a very small report "The Nauvoo Temple" which reports "The great Mormon Temple at Nauvoo has been purchased by Isaac Prower for the Protestant College." Other news is within.
