THE DAILY COURANT, London, Nov. 1, 1717  This was the world's first successful daily newspaper, and is a landmark issue for any newspaper collection as such. It began in 1702. As would be imagined the issue is almost entirely taken up with various European reports, while the back page  is mostly taken up with advertisements. This is the first of this rare title we have been able to offer in a few years.
Complete as a single sheet newspaper measuring 7 by 14 inches, some loss at the corners, otherwise in rather nice condition.
