THE COUNTRY GENTLEMAN, Albany, New York, May 11, 1865 Although principally a farming-themed publication, there are a few news items, as near the back is: "Fugitives from Justice" which is a proclamation by President Johnson reading in part: "...appears from evidence...that the atrocious murder of the late President, Abraham Lincoln...incited, concerted, & procured by & between Jefferson Davis..." and others, the President offers a reward of $100,000: "...for the arrest of Jefferson Davis..." and a lesser amount for others (see photo).
