THE TIMES-PICAYUNE, New Orleans, Louisiana, September 4, 1923.  This issue features a bold headline "DEAD ESTIMATED AT 200,000" with subhead "Dead Pile High In Ruined Cities, Survivors Flee" in reference to the earthquake which hit Toykio (Tokyo). Other headlines "Nippon's Capital and Great Port Razed by Flame: "Two Tokio Missionary Schools Believed Destroyed" "Assassins make Attempt on Life of Jap Premier". This also includes pictures of Tokio prior to the quake. Other news of the day.

This is complete in 26 pages with a slight irregular left spine, slight discoloration at the centerfold and a couple rub-holes, a mend to the front page, otherwise in good condition.
