THE NEW-YORK WEEKLY MAGAZINE, March 16, 1796
* Early land survey of America
The content within this 8 page newspaper is almost entirely literary, but one "Anecdote" notes: "Thomas Hutchins, Geographer to the United States, reports there are 589,000,000 acres of land comprized in the territory of the Union.".
Measures about 8 1/2 by 10 1/2 inches, and has various foxing, but is generally in good condition.
note: Actually there are about 2.3 billion acres in the United States.
