CONNECTICUT MIRROR, Hartford, Sept. 9, 1811  Most of the front page is taken up with the: "Declaration of Independence by the Province of Venezuela, in South America", which was done on July 5, 1811, with the signature (in type) of several of the officials. This was a statement adopted by a congress of Venezuelan provinces on July 5, 1811 through which Venezuelans took the decisions of breaking away from the Spanish Crown. Four pages, excellent condition.
