THE NEW YORK TIMES, Nov. 27, 1864
* Abraham Lincoln's character
* Phineas T. Barnum letter
* Columbia TN Tennessee
Page 5 has: "Character of President Lincoln--Remarks by Hon. A Wakeman" which takes nearly a full column (see for beginning). Page 2 has: "Negro Sales" from Augusta, giving particulars as to ages and prices (see). There is also a great amount of reporting on the Civil War, both on the front page & inside pages. The front page also includes: "Barnum's Card" which is a letter signed in type: P. T. Barnum, concerning his efforts to prevent a fire at his museum (see). Curiously, in less than a year his museum would be destroyed by fire.
Eight pages, very nice condition.
