January 07, 1799
PORCUPINE'S GAZETTE, Philadelphia, Jan. 7, 1799
* Rare title
* 18th century original reading
The prime feature of this issue is the interesting engraving of a porcupine in the masthead (see). The complete front page is taken up with various ads, one being a "Ten Dollars Reward" for a soldier who deserted & another "Twenty Dollars Reward" for a runaway Dutch servant. Various news on the inside pages, and more ads on the bkpg.
Four pages, some wear & minor tears at the margins, mostly nice.
