NEW YORK TRIBUNE, New York, dated August 17, 1869. Page 5 contains the report of "Base-Ball Red Stockings vs. Eckfords" along with "Orientals vs. Athletics" and "Charleston vs. Savannah". The front page features nearly two column report "THE COAL TROUBLES - Special Notes form the Coal Regions - Strikes at Hazleton, Upper Lehigh, and Beaver Meadow - Both Sides Reviewed" and "The Susquehanna War = The Feeling Along the Line of the Road - Rumors in Albany". Inside the issue is "Summer Letters" which contains reports from Mount Washington and Otsego County. The reporting on Frank Leslie's divorce is on page two as well.
