A part-printed document from Lycoming County, Pennsylvania dated May 1, 1818 reading in part: "...That Henry Hughes...with force & arms in & upon William Harper...an assault did make, and him the said William Harper then & there did beat, wound and ill treat & other wrongs to him the said Williams then & there did, to the great damage of the said William..." with more (see). An interesting little document, with signature, measures 6 1/2 by 8 inches, nice condition.
