August 20, 1861
DAILY RICHMOND EXAMINER, Richmond, Virginia, Aug. 20, 1861

A nice newspaper from the capital of the Confederacy. Half of the front page is taken up with ads and the other half with: "The Bread Of The Soldier" and "Mr. Russell's Letters to the London Times" which has various subheads including: "How President Lincoln, General Scott & Sec. Seward Appeared at the Parade" "A Night Visit to the Camp of the New York Twelfth" "Military Meanness, Military Riots & Jealousies of Command" and much more, carrying over to pg. 2.

Pages 2 & 3 also has: "Movements & Spirit of the War--The Battle in Missouri" "Resolutions of Mississippi on the Victories in Virginia" "The Public Finances Of the Confederate Government" "Affairs In Western Virginia" "Telegraphic News". Half of the back page is taken up with various Acts of the Confederate Congress, several relating to the Civil War.

Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, generally good condition.
