A handsome coat-of-arms engraving is featured in the masthead. A ftpg. report from Boston notes: "...vessel from Salem...having a cask of sugar on board...supposed had not been properly cleared out, was seized by one of the Custom House officers, who brought a number of Soldiers! to assists...she was soon released. It is very extraordinary that soldiers should be called in upon such occasions...to conceive that the Quartering of Troops in this town is necessary...".
Other various news and political discussions of the day, plus many ads as well. Four pages, folio size, partially loose at the spine, generally in very nice condition.
