Has "Confederate States Of America" printed in the dateline which is rarely seen on Southern newspapers from the Civil War.
The entire ftpg. is taken up with ads including one for "Drums and Fifes". Page two has some war-related news including "AN ACT To raise money for the Support of the Government & to provide for the defence of the Confederate States of America"; a report headed: "the Skirmish Near Newport News" which has much detail; "Latest By Telegraph--From Washington via New Orleans", "Disaffection Amongst North Western Troops", "Loan for the Defence of the Confederate States" and more.
Page 3 has some news items but is mostly taken up with ads including a nice illus. ad for the Smith & Wesson pistol (see), and "Recruits Wanted". The bkpg. is entirely taken up with ads.
Four pages and in excellent condition.
