This is a 11 issue set, comprised of the following titles and dates... four issues of The Detroit Free Press dated April 19, 20, 21 and 24, 1942; four issues of The Springfield Daily Republican (Massachusetts) dated April 19, 20, 21, and 24, 1942; and three issues of  The Times-Picayune (New Orleans) dated April 19, 21 and 24, 1942... and is of the first air raids by the United States to strike the Japanese home island. The raid was planned and led by Lieutenant Col. James "Jimmy" Doolittle which became known as the "Doolittle Raids". The issues contain articles, photos and maps of this important turn of events in World War II.
