April 03, 1930
THE NEW YORK TIMES, New York, NY, April 3, 1930

* 1st ever flight from New York to Bermuda success
* Aviator Lewis Yancey

This 60 page newspaper has a two column headline on the front page: "YANCEY REACHES BERMUDA; TELLS OF NIGHT IN PLANE AND TAKE-OFF FROM OCEAN" with many subheads. Other news of the day throughout. Nice to have in this famous title.

Rag edition in great condition.

wikipedia notes: In 1930, Yancey, William H. Alexander, and Zeh Bouck made the first-ever flight from New York to Bermuda in a Stinson monoplane equipped with pontoons. [2] Forced down, the plane spent the night at sea but was able to take off again under its own power the next morning; the first plane ever to do so. The crew made the flight in about eight and a half hours of flying time.
