On the front page under "Petroleum Nasby" is a report, plus a witty item by Petroleum Nasby: "Gives Thanks. Church Uv The Noo Dispenshasun" "A Sam Uv Praze."

Contains crudely spelled words, a style often used by Nasby in many of his literary items. Note: David Ross Locke (also known by his pseudonym Petroleum V. Nasby), was famous for the "Nasby Letters," described as "The Civil War written in sulphuric acid."
