HAVILAH MINER, Havilah, Kern County, California, 1872 This is a quite rare newspaper from a town which had its beginning in 1864 when gold was discovered in the area. This is a volume one issue, of which only a few remain in our inventory.
Various news of the day and a wealth of ads as well. Much chipping at the spine with some loss, both leaves loose at the spine, browning and very fragile. Clear, archival mends are also present. Due to the fragility of the issue, a partial folder is included at this price.
