A PENNSYLVANIA EVENING POST EXTRAORDINARY, Philadelphia PA, Sept. 8, 1775.
* Rare Rev. War era extra issue
* Relations with the Indians
* Revolutionary War original
This is a very uncommon "Extra" issue of this famous title, with all of the front page & some of page 2 taken up with:
* Captain James Wood's information to the Committee of Pittsburgh, August 10, 1775
which talks a great deal concerning relations with the Indians in the western portion of Pennsylvania (see photos for portions). Most of pg. 3 is taken up with an address to the King from several groups in London which includes:
* We...are compelled again to disturb your Majesty's repose with our complaints. We have already expressed to your Majesty our abhorrence of the tyrannical measures pursued against our fellow subjects in America...We desire to repeat again that the power contended for over the colonies...is to all intents & purposes despotism...
with much more (see photos).
The back page has some items concerning the Revolutionary War as well.
Complete in 4 pgs., measures about 8 by 10 inches, mostly darkened a bit by water staining (see photos) but not causing any loss of readability. Otherwise nice condition.
