The full front page is a nice engraving captioned: "The Seceding Mississippi Delegation in Congress", done by the noted artist Winslow Homer. The print shows 7 members of the Mississippi delegation including Jefferson Davis, soon to become president of the Southern Confederacy. Other prints in this issue include a doublepg. centerfold: "The Dream Of A Secessionist--Washington & Valley Forge." Also included is a nearly halfpg: "Sea Battery, Fort Monroe, Old Point Comfort, Va". & two scenes of "The Brooklyn Academy of Music". Small print of D.F. Jamieson" as well, and a serialized portion of "Great Expectations" by Charles Dickens. Complete in 16 pages, very nice condition.
