GLEASON'S PICTORIAL LINE-OF-BATTLE SHIP newspaper from Boston, dated Dec. 3, 1859. This quite ornate newspaper contains on the back page a story titled "Five Hundred A Year"which was written specifically for this newspaper (scarce as such) by Horatio Alger, Jr. (see photos). Complete 8 page issue, various tears at the margins not no problems affecting the Alger story.
