A dramatic doublepage centerfold is entitled 'Discovery of the Franklin Expedition Boat of King William's Land by Lieutenant Hobson'. A nearly half page illustration of "The Late Senator Broderick Lying in State at San Francisco". This issue also contains a serialized portion of "A Tale of Two Cities" by Charles Dickens.
