* Howard 'Hopalong' Cassady wins Heisman Trophy
Ohio State Buckeyes - NCAA college football

The front page of the sport's section (near the back) has a small one column heading: "Best Player Award Stays in Midwest" with lead-in: "Cassady Wins" (see images) Nice to have from the city (Lions) where he would be drafted in the NFL.
Complete with all 50+ pages, light toning and a little wear at the margins, some small binding holes along the spine, generally in good condition.

background: Howard “Hopalong” Cassady captured the 1955 Heisman Trophy after a dominant senior season at Ohio State, where he dazzled as a swift, elusive halfback and a ferocious two-way player in an era when stars still played both offense and defense. Already a national name after helping lead the Buckeyes to the 1954 national championship, Cassady cemented his legacy in 1955 by rushing for over 950 yards, scoring 15 touchdowns, and serving as the emotional centerpiece of Woody Hayes’s power-running attack. Equally remarkable was his defensive impact: he was often cited as one of the best defensive backs in the country, famously never allowing a touchdown in his entire college career. His blend of explosive playmaking, consistency, and toughness made him the runaway Heisman choice, and he remains one of the most celebrated figures in Ohio State football history.
