* World War II ending - surrender nears
* Early, same day report w/ nice headline

A notable banner headline announces: "NEW ATOMIC BOMB HITS JAPAN and more with various subheads and related photo. (see images) The photo shows the facility at Oak Ridge where the bomb was developed.
Twenty-four pages, this issue is damaged with some severe separation along the central fold, some margin wear, comes with a acid-free folder for protection. Still a nice issue for display as such. Should be kept inside the folder due to the separation.

AI notes: On August 6, 1945, during the final stages of World War II, the United States dropped an atomic bomb named "Little Boy" on Hiroshima, Japan, marking the first use of nuclear weapons in warfare. The bomb devastated the city, killing an estimated 70,000–80,000 people instantly, with total deaths rising significantly due to radiation and injuries. The attack aimed to force Japan’s surrender and was followed by a second bombing on Nagasaki three days later. These events contributed to Japan’s surrender on August 15, effectively ending World War II and ushering in the nuclear age.
