Adolf Hitler seizing power in Germany...

Item # 715199

October 12, 1931

THE KNICKERBOCKER PRESS, Albany, New York, Oct. 12, 1931

* Early Adolph Hitler
* Pre-Nazi Germany
* Bruning government

The front page has a very early report on the ascendancy of Hitler and his Nazi party with one column heading: "HITLER WOULD BE GERMAN 'IL DUCE'" with subhead and photo. (see images)
This was before Hitler came to national power as Chancellor of Germany in January, 1933.
Complete with 16 pages, light toning and a little wear at the margins, generally good.

wikipedia notes: A conference of Germany's right-wing factions, including the Nazis and Alfred Hugenberg's DNVP, met in Bad Harzburg to discuss how to defeat the Brüning government. An alliance was formed that became known as the Harzburg Front.
