Lincoln is elected! On Lincoln's integrity, and what he did on election day...

NEW YORK SEMI-WEEKLY TRIBUNE, Nov. 9, 1860  With Lincoln's election reported in this issue, page 3 has a report: "Abraham Lincoln At Home" which is: "...a private letter, written by a professional gentleman in Springfield, Ill., to an intimate friend...it bears such forcible & convincing testimony to the high characer & mental ability of Mr. Lincoln...". The full text appears in the photos.
Page 4 has the historic report: "The Great Result - Lincoln Is Elected", the text beginning: "Lincoln and Hamlin have 169 electoral votes...17 more than enough to elect him..." with the state-by-state chart. Further on the election as well.
Page 5 has: "FROM THE HOME OF MR. LINCOLN" which is a report from Springfield, Illinois, on the election results. It notes in part: "The election in this city has been quietly conducted...At this hour the result in the city & county is uncertain, although the friends of Mr. Lincoln fully anticipate the success of their county ticket. Mr. Lincoln has passed most of the day in the Governor's House..." with much more, taking a full column.
Eight pages, the first column of page 1 is compromised due to errors at the bindery, but no notable front page content. Otherwise the issue is in nice condition.
