GUNNISON DAILY REVIEW, Colorado, June 5, 1882 An uncommon title from this boom mining town in the southwestern quadrant of Colorado, tucked in a valley amidst the Rocky Mountains.
Gunnison boomed in the late 1870's and early 1880's and was once the home of Wyatt Earp and "Texas Jack". Today, there are some 5500 residents of Gunnison. The front page begins with a two-column advertisement for "Anheuser-Busch Brewing...". Also on the front page: "Atrocious Outrage - Horrible Attempt to Murder & Rob Two Travelling Companions..." and also a column headed: "Mining Notes".
Page 3 features an illustrated advertisement of the interior of a Western restaurant/saloon.
Four pages, glued at the spine, very nice condition.
