NEW YORK TRIBUNE, Dec. 31, 1860

* President elect Abraham Lincoln
* His stance on slavery before war outbreak

Pages 4 & 5 contain an article: "Why Don't Mr. Lincoln Speak Out, and Calm the South?" which includes in part: "...we are reminded that his character is conservative--that he will see the law providing for the return of fugitive slaves...that he does not propose to interfere with Slavery in the states where it exists..." with a bit more.  This is followed by an article: "Count Out The Negroes".
Much content on the secession movement, including a page 6 diagram of Fort Moultrie in Charleston Harbor. Other heads concerning the events just prior to the outbreak of the Civil War.
