"The Great Die Up" (mid-west floods of 1887)... a Séance print...

FRANK LESLIE'S ILLUSTRATED, New York, April 2, 1887 The front page has a large print: "DAKOTA - THE FLOODS OF THE UPPER MISSOUI - SETTLERS IN THE RIVER BOTTOMS, NEAR BISMARCK...", with additional related images on the inside. The flooding was largely the result of the massive blizzard of 1887 which struck and forever altered the American Frontier. It is commonly referred to as "The Great Die Up". Another desirable print is: "'Spirits' - And Their Manifestations - An Evening Séance." Other interesting prints are found throughout.
Complete in 16 pages, a slight amount of wear, in good overall condition. See images for details.
