THE VILLAGE VOICE (weekly), Greenwich Village, New York, Aug. 16, 1973

* The Allman Brothers Band - Dickey Betts
* American rock band concert advertisement
* Elton John Madison Square Garden concert
* The Beach Boys Roosevelt Stadium advertisement

Page 47 has a full page decorative advertisement for the "THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND" concert at Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City.
Page 45 has a 7 x 5 inch ad for a "Elton John" Concert at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan. This was his first performance at the famed venue.
And page 43 has a nice advertisement for "The Beach Boys w/ Poco & The Stanky Brown Group" concert at Roosevelt Stadium. (see images)
I suspect this to be an extremely rare item because their was really no reason to save it at the time.
It is worth noting that "The Village Voice" was an American news and culture paper, known for being the country's first alternative newsweekly. Founded in 1955, the Voice began as a platform for the creative community of New York City.
Complete with 96 pages, tabloid-size, one crease across the center, minor margin wear, generally very nice.

Provenance note: This issue comes from The Village Voice's own archives, part of their in-house collection used to create their digital archive. Rare as such.

Alert: Many issues of The Village Voice contain articles and/or photos which some consider offensive, and are certainly inappropriate for children. Please purchase with discretion.
