Near the back is an: "Extract of a Letter from Virginia" that includes: "We are marching 200 white men & 100 Cherokees from a fort on the New River against the Shawnese...Shirley & Johnson are to proceed in the spring against Crown Point & Niagara...Washington's regiment of 1000 from Virginia & 1000 Cherokee Indians against Fort Dushen..." with more.
This is an early mention of Washington from when he was just 24 years old.
Another article: "Account of the British Plantations in America" is a continued article on the history of the British settlements.
Complete in 48 pages, the full title/contents page features a very detailed engraving of the skyline of London at the time, 5 1/4 by 8 inches, great condition.
