The top of page 12 has a two column heading: "Theatre Post-Mortem: Another Evening with Harry Stoones" This was a Off-Broadway theatre performance review which included Barbra Streisand in her very 1st acting performance. This play was a total flop and lasted for only 1 performance. Text includes: "...Barbra Streisand can put across a lyric melody and make fine fun of herself at the same time..." (see images) Was this her very first career review ?
wikipedia notes: Streisand accepted her first role on the New York stage in Another Evening with Harry Stoones, a satirical comedy play in which she acted and sang two solos. The show received terrible reviews and closed the next day.
Page 14 has a small advertisement for "Village Gate" on Bleecker Street with performances by Aretha Franklin. Franklin made her NYC debut at this nightclub. (see images)
I suspect this to be an extremely rare item because their was really no reason to save it at the time.
It is worth noting that "The Village Voice" was an American news and culture paper, known for being the country's first alternative newsweekly. Founded in 1955, the Voice began as a platform for the creative community of New York City.
Complete in 20 pages, tabloid-size, one crease across the center, nice condition.
