THE VILLAGE VOICE, Greenwich Village, New York, Oct. 19, 1961

* Barbra Streisand - singer & actress 1st performance
* Another Evening with Harry Stoones - Off-Broadway
* Very early and extremely rare item on Streisand (19 yrs. old)

Page 11 has a list of current Off-Broadway theatre performances including a musical titled: "Another Evening with Harry Stoones" which was Barbra Streisand's very 1st acting performance. This play was a total flop and lasted for only 1 performance. See her name here in very small print. (see images) I suspect this to be an extremely rare item because their was really no reason to save it at the time.

wikipedia notes: Streisand accepted her first role on the New York stage in Another Evening with Harry Stoones, a satirical comedy play in which she acted and sang two solos. The show received terrible reviews and closed the next day.

It is worth noting that "The Village Voice" was an American news and culture paper, known for being the country's first alternative newsweekly. Founded in 1955, the Voice began as a platform for the creative community of New York City.
Complete in 20 pages, tabloid-size, one crease across the center, nice condition.
