THE NEW YORK TIMES, June 6, 1928
* Woman aviator Amelia Earhart
* About to make history* Airplane "Friendship"
Less than 13 months after Charles Lindbergh's heralded accomplishment, Amelia Earhart became the first woman to achieve the feat. The top of the front page has a three column headline: "EARHART PLANE TUNED FOR FLIGHT TODAY" with subheads. (see) Weather would delay her from finishing the journey for about 2 weeks. Always nice to have notable events in history reported in this World famous publication.
Complete in 52 pages, light toning at the margins, a few small binding sits along the spine, generally very nice.
