1970 World premiere ad for "Woodstock" (film)...

Page 49 has a 8 x 5 1/2 inch advertisement for: "Woodstock" for it's opening day in Manhattan. Nice to have in this counterculture publication. The movie made it's debut on the date of this issue.
Page 27 has a full page notice to free the 21 members of the Black Panthers that recently were arrested. (see images)
It is worth noting that "The Village Voice" was an American news and culture paper, known for being the country's first alternative newsweekly. Founded in 1955, the Voice began as a platform for the creative community of New York City.
complete with 80 pages, one fold along the center, very nice condition.
