The top of page 9 has a very notable item, being a report of the first African-American woman judge in the United States. 
The article features a photo of Jane Bolin headed: "Negro Woman Justice Puts Sympathy First as Her Guide" with subhead. (see images) 
Jane Bolin was the first black woman to graduate from Yale Law School, the first to join the New York City Bar Association and the first to join the New York City Law Department. She became the first black woman to serve as a judge in the United States when she was sworn into this office on July 22.
Complete with 26 pages, light toning, a little irregular along the spine, generally nice.
