A great issue of this famous counter-culture newspaper as the front page has 3 related photos with heading: "Poor People's Campaign: Last Exit to Hope City" with lead-in: "Tents in the Capitol" Lengthy article continues inside.
Page 36 has a early photo of Jerry Garcia & Ron "Pigpen" McKernan" who recently arrived in New York City to perform at the Electric Circus.
It is worth noting that "The Village Voice" was an American news and culture paper, known for being the country's first alternative newsweekly. Founded in 1955, the Voice began as a platform for the creative community of New York City.
Other interesting items from the counter-culture era. Complete in 64 pages, tabloid-size, archival mending long the central fold on page 2, minor spine wear, generally good.
