Front page reports of Indian attacks...

November 15, 1763

THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, Nov. 15, 1763  The top of the front page has a report from Sir Jeffery Amherst with a New  York dateline noting in part: "...very large body of Indians, supposed to be 500 or more, attacked a convoy of a sergeant & 28 men of Wilmot's regiment returning with some wagons from the fort at the lower landing at Niagara...marched instantly to support the convoy, were surrounded by the whole body of Indians...were killed..." with further details including the return of killed, wounded & missing from this action on Sept. 14, 1764.
This is followed by another report noting: "Another affair has happened on Lake Erie...having been attacked by 350 savages in canoes..." with more.
Eight  pages, 8 1/2 by 11 inches, very nice condition.
