Japanese cruiser Takachiho sunk in 1914...

Item # 699588

September 19, 1914

EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, Oct. 19, 1914

* Japanese cruiser Takachiho sinking
* Siege of Tsingtao (Quingdoa) - China
* German Empire torpedo boat attack

The front page has a banner headline: "JAPANESE CRUISER SUNK WITH 271 MEMBERS OF CREW" with subhead. (see images) Surprisingly this issue is in good condition being from the "wood pulp" era. Very hard to find issues that are not totally fragile from this era in paper. Rare as such.
Complete with 14 pages, 2 small library stamp within the masthead, a little irregular along the spine, generally very nice.
