Page 3 has a a full column letter concerning the Mexican War.
Also, most of a column is taken up with some fine reports on the war in a letter prefaced in part with: "...from a high source of military information...that every word of it may be implicitly relied upon...Besides recapitulating the victories obtained by Gen. Scott on his way from Puebla to the city of Mexico, it gives the amount of force with which he commenced his march & the number of lives lost on both sides during the insurrection which followed the entrance of our army into the capital:" and what follows is the detailed letter.
Four pages, very nice condition.
