Page 3 has news reports headed: "America" with a New York dateline, noting in part: "... that the Creeks and Shawnees joined with the Cherokees are supposed to make their number 5 or 6000, some say 7 or 8000, who intend to lay siege to Fort Prince George and destroy all the country before them..." with more reports on the military events of the French & Indian War.
The back page has a letter from Montreal that begins: "The case of the poor Canadians is really deplorable, occasioned by the bankruptcy of the crown of France...Montreal in general is a well built town...The people here are extravagantly fond of dress: a stranger would take Montreal to be a city inhabited by none but the rich and idle; they are all finely powdered, walk with their hats under their arms, and wear long coats adorned with tinsel lace..." with more on this.
Eight pages, 8 1/4 by 10 3/4 inches, partial red tax stamp on page 4, very nice condition.
