Corrigan’s “mistake” flight from New York to Ireland earns him the moniker ‘Wrongway Corrigan’…

A pair of issues on the intriguing flight of aviator Douglas Corrigan, with the ftpg. of July 21 noting: “Corrigan Flight Over The Atlantic Amazes Experts” and subhead: “Antique Plane, Bound Together With Baled-Hay Wire Hops from New York To Dublin By ‘mistake’ “ with photo of Corrigan and him with his plane. The photos are headed: “This Creaky Plane Flew To Ireland With This Daring Lad At Controls”.
The July 25 issue has on the front page photos of Corrigan’s plane as well one of Corrigan shortly after landing in Ireland. The caption notes in part: “…his amazing flight from New York to Ireland. Corrigan still insists, smilingly, he thought he was headed back to California despite the fact that he set his antiquated ship down on Baldonnel field near Dublin, Ireland…”.
Both issues complete in 8 pages, nice condition.
